Aquatrols Corporation of America (Aquatrols) is a global specialty chemicals manufacturer with a long history of success in the Turf & Ornamental (T&O) sectors and more recent growth into the agricultural sector.  The Company mainly produces patented and proprietary surfactant and other technologies used to optimize soil-water-plant interactions.  The company’s products are used by farms, golf courses, nurseries, greenhouses, and other applications in more than 35 countries around the world.  In 2014, to solidify its position in Europe, the company acquired Farmura Environmental, Ltd., Aquatrols’ primary distributor in the UK.  In 2020, Aquatrols formed an exclusive strategic partnership with plant and soil nutrition leader, Redox Turf.  For more than 50 years, Aquatrols has been bringing industry leading technology in wetting agents and for the past 25 years, Redox Turf has brought innovative nutritional products to superintendents around the world.

Exit Information:  As a result of Aquatrols being internationally recognized as the leader in the development, production, and marketing of cutting-edge soil surfactants to address inefficiencies in the growing environment and optimize water use, the business was exited in January 2023 to Lamberti USA, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Lamberti S.p.A.  The acquisition fits into Lamberti Group’s strategy of investment in the Turf industry and in the Growing Media market; it also provides an opportunity for Lamberti to further expand agriculture water optimization products of the Agriculture division, all market segments the company is firmly committed to.
